The Ocado Group is a leader in the online grocery market. Well-known as an innovator in the sector, its future-forward approach expands to communications too.
Ocado Logistics, the company that runs the delivery arm of Ocado, commissioned us to plan and record a podcast series for their 8,000 drivers. Available on Spotify, Android, Apple and Google, it is also a recruitment tool.
We named it Scan and Deliver after an interactive workshop with drivers and team reps.
In each episode, our two driver-hosts interviewed other drivers and employees, covering subjects such as mental health, training and career opportunities.
An authentic voice
Integral to the success of Scan and Deliver was our guiding value of allowing the content to be relatable first and informative second. We knew if the podcast was going to work with this audience it needed to be peer to peer so we recruited two Ocado drivers to present the show. We allowed the hosts to have their say, without forcing words in their mouths. The outcome… an authentic and enjoyable listen with important information along the way.
